Respect & Protect Our Vote Rally: July 13, 2011

On July 13, 2011, Democracy North Carolina joined with the NAACP and the Respect Our Coalition to sponsor a rally in front of the General Assembly to protest attacks on voting rights in North Carolina and the use of the redistricting process for partisan gain. 150 people joined us on the front lawn to hear speakers, chant, deliver petitions to GOP leaders and conduct a 10-minute silent protest in the Senate Gallery.
